RoboCopy is a very useful windows based tool that lets you copy from one location to another, unlike the traditional copying built into the windows this has a lot of extra features, such as it can move the ACL (security permissions) and also preserve date and time stamps. You can tell it to only copy files that have changes since a certain time or date. It can also recover from a small network blip while copying and can resume from the point it left the operation. It is most useful when you can use it as a command line tool in batch or VB scripts. RoboCopy is available as a part of Windows XP Resource Kit, and comes as default with Windows Vista.
